A lot of times our leaning is behind the scene. I have a lot of props that I use to help recognize letters, numbers, colors, shapes, and opposites! To cut down on printer ink and paper we started working more on the easel last month.
Every morning after circle time we write our letter of the week and our names. The letters are not perfect but some are starting to really take form.
Writing time also is a chance to work in a smaller group. I pair the kids up 2-3 in a group and we discuss the letter, how to write it, and what sound it makes.
August we started over with letters, numbers, colors and shapes. I am so excited to see the progress each day as we hit ABC's hard this year.
