our crazy time back...

We came back into town late Tuesday night. As we drove home, I was not feeling well. I was fighting off a cold, and my ears hurt. While we were away I discovered I missed my OB appt so while driving home I called and was able to get in on Wednesday.

I went in to my appointment and my blood pressure was high. The nurse only took it once before the doctor ordered me to go to the labor and delivery to have an observation done and lab work completed. While I was there, I found out I had an ear infection as well. I was flustered and came home, skipping the hospital order.  I bought a blood pressure cuff and watched it from home that night. It was lower and I was doing fine.

To stay on the good side of my doctor, whom I am not too fan of, I went in to the hospital on Thursday morning to get Baby Q monitored. During the 2 hour observation, my pressures were great, baby was active, and everything looked great. I came home and started my 24 hour pee collection and needed one more lab to be done.

Thursday afternoon, Dustin took the older kids to see a movie, while the young two came to the church with me to work. As I was working, Kenni was feeling hot, whining, and telling me her "ear rings" hurt. When we got home, she cuddled with me while holding her lambie. (the above picture) We took her to the clinic and found out she had an ear infection as well.

Thursday evening we went out to eat at one of our favorite places, "Hu-Hot". While there, Gaby was in tears with her throat and head hurting. We came home after dinner and she went straight to bed.

Here we are, Friday morning... I have already turned in my pee test, had blood drawn, given medication to Kenni for her ears, taken my meds for my ear, and made an appointment for Gaby to see our doctor at 1:00 today.

Since we have been home, we have not made it one day without being at the doctors, clinic, or hospital. I am looking forward to getting everyone on the mend and feeling better soon!!!

Our vacation (iphone pictures)

I will do a more in depth post about our first family vacation soon, however here are some sneak peeks from my iphone. We left Topeka on Thursday about 2pm heading to see our friends in Minnesota. We are packed and ready to go... all the kids had some type of electronic device to pass the time. Even Kenni was watching a movie on the ipod.

The drive down actually went pretty fast considering we had 4 kids and a 29 week preggers person all in the same van. We made quick restroom and dinner stops and made it into town about 11:00pm. The kids were tired and went to sleep pretty well.

We were very lucky our friends kept all six of us in their house allowing us to save on hotel cost. The kids loved seeing their friends and so did I.

The first morning... hanging around the house. Gaby and Josh played legos and video games.
Mia and Ainsley. They are less then a year a part in age however, I think Ainsley grew while they moved. :(
We went to an inside play place that had things to do for all the ages of kids. Gaby, Kadyn, and Josh played laser tag. They also had bowling, golf, bounce houses, games, and climbing areas. The kids loved this place.
 Kadyn doing some bowling...

We attended our first "mega" church and Saturday night service. I loved going on Saturday night. It was neat to see how the live band played then the pastor's message was broadcasted via projectors. I also was able to see the cool kids area and saw how they treated visiting families. It was a neat experience for us.
One of the highlights was going to the Mall of America. We had 9 hours and all day ride passes. I thought this was enough time to ride some rides then do some light shopping. Not so much. Besides stopping for lunch and a quick 30 minute walk around the mall, we did not shopping this day. However the kids had a blast, and that is all that mattered. Kenni met Spongebob and Dora. Mia meet Dora as well.
Kenni was so excited when we found the "Yo Gabba Gabba" section at the Nick store. We brought home a new stuff Foofa to add to her collection. She is holding it in the above picture.

Kadyn and Josh on one of the rides. I was surprised at all the rides Mia could ride with Dustin. She was fearless and rode everything she was allowed to go on. Kendal and I went on a few as well, a fun time was had by all. It was a long day but a fun day.

On our way out of town, we ended up going back to the MoA to do some shopping so the kids could bring back Minnesota goodies for friends and family. More pictures to come...

dress shopping

Kadyn wanted to come with me last night as we looked at dresses for Aunt Kara's wedding. Kk, Mia, and Kendal are flower people. Kadyn was getting a little bored so Kara pulled some dresses for her to try too. She looked sooo cute. It was sad to see that a dress like this cost more then the dresses we were looking at for bridesmaids.
This was a huge no-no. I was actually surprised how many dresses I could actually try on. I pulled this one because I thought it would hide stuff. Well, not so much. This was nothing like what she was looking at which was a good thing. I am excited with her current choice even though with Easter and Spring dresses out soon, we might find something different.

Today we worked on writing our names... some are still a work in progress. :)
This month we are learning to count to number 16. We counted out sixteen stickers to put onto our sixteen card.
Our theme has changed to "Changing Weather". Today the kids made a picture that had rain, clouds, sun, and snow.
 We also worked on cutting...

The entire group....

Kadyn's 2nd grade concert

Last night we saw Kadyn's second grade concert... this was during the dress rehearsal. They perform the entire concert at the school assembly. My mom and dad started coming to the earlier performances because it is easy to get my mom in and out. The night of the concert get super crazy!

Kadyn did a great job but never did smile while she sung...

When she came home, Dustin and I surprised her with a new dress for her night. Our beautiful second grader!!!

Aunt Kara came over and fixed Kadyn's hair- she loves french braids and this momma just can't do it! So we are happy Kara came by to work her hair magic!

Upwards Award Night

This was Gaby and Kadyn's first year to play basketball through Upward's. We went right up the street to Eastside Church. The kids had a great time, had devotions each game, and learned the basics to basketball.

Awards night... Gaby is so anti-smiling.

The basketball season is completed.

Now soccer!

Playing for 1st

During the winter months Gaby went to school at 7:30 to learn to play basketball.

Her team had a combo of 5th and 6th grade girls.

Two of the kids came from dance- Mia lost interest in the game and started showing off her dance moves.

Gaby taking a shot...

There team did great and placed #1. Gaby said basketball isn't her favorite but did a great job for being her first year!

Under the big top

We scored some free tickets to the circus... it is by far not my favorite activity, however the kids did great and we had a fun time.

We went early so the girls could see the clowns. At first, Kendal was not liking the clowns.

By the end of the line, she loved them. They all liked the clowns but Gaby. She said she was too old to get her picture taken with them.

Dustin's mom and step dad came with us. Grandma Dee was a good sport and rode the elephant with Mia and Kadyn.

The only clown we could get Gaby to get her picture with was Johnny Rocket. She really liked him.

My lil clown

Snow day

Our first big snow happened in February. The kids loved playing in it and we super excited we didn't have school for two days.

Wacky Tuesday

Before school the big kids made cages out of blocks... the little ones act like animals in the zoo. They love this early morning game.
We used wacky paint brushes and textures to make our paintings...
Love Kenni's expression... she loves art time.
Our gallery of art to check out...
J was so excited he made a happy plate at lunch; he said, "take a picture so we'll remember this". Cracked me up!

Our wacky day went well as we did circle time and read more from our silly book. Parents, ask your kids about the 6 toed creature we have been singing about.

Happy Tuesday!!! Get up and do the happy dance!

Started our morning decorating our new bulletin board for March. We used our color of the month green to make our festive shamrocks.
Our number we are talking about is 15. We practiced counting, sorting, and writing the number 15.

 More green fun...
