Our busy morning...

Today we started a new theme, "Everything Alphabet". We talked about how all the letters together form the alphabet, and how the letters are used together to make words. It is a great unit to review with as we start preschool "officially" on Wednesday.

Today we did bubble art. The kids wanted to blow bubbles so we made it into an art project.

The kids loved the dark color of the bubbles. They came as a gift for Mia, which is why she wanted to use them so badly today!

During our group activity time, we played with play-dough.

Then it was circle time... everyone was excited to read, "the mixed up alphabet" , a daycare favorite. We have lots of books to read about letters and the first day of preschool. Which is great since we welcomed a new friend today!

Today we also had treats for Mia's birthday. The not so homemade cupcakes from Sam's club.

The kids had a blast singing "Happy Birthday" and making Mia feel special on her day!

Today we also said good bye to our friend, Jackie! Jackie came over in the mornings and helped with art, circle time, and games for the bigger kids. Everyone loves Jackie. We wish her well as she starts her first day at SHHS.
This week and last have been super busy around here. We are in transition. All of my teacher kiddos are returning full time and we still have the over lap of school kids until Wednesday. This week will be fun and exciting as my big kids return to the hustle and bustle of the school routine and my little ones start preschool here on Wednesday as well!
Looking forward to a fun fall season of learning.
