Today we celebrated Dr. Seuss's birthday! We started our morning off by making Cat in the Hat faces. We read part of the book (kids lots interest) then colored our pictures. The older kids had to look at the pictures in the book and try to color their picture like the book. They did a great job of following directions and coloring. We also worked on cutting with me helping to direct them. They turned out so cute!
After our faces were finished, we sat down to play Dr. Seuss's ABC board game. The kids thought I was really cool to have the game match the book we just read!
How can you celebrate a birthday without cake??? We pulled into the kitchen and measured out our water, eggs, and applesauce and took turns pouring, stirring, and licking the bowl of course!
Our finishing touches on our faces are googly eyes and whiskers!
