It's time to come clean....

We have had a major family transition in our home this past month. I have not spoken too much about it for fear of comments, judgements, and unwanted advice. But as we settle into our new normal, I am embracing our new change, loving what it is doing for our family, and welcoming whatever people might have to say.

February 1st was Dustin's last day at his job. His job has been great for him and us as a family. It has met our needs, paid the bills, and covered us when we have been sick. However it was time to move on and open a new chapter in our life.

This past year has been fine for our family. Extremely busy but fine. As the kids get older, they need more time in the evenings for school work, activity, church night, practices ect. Dustin and I would divide up, get the kids were they need to be and most evenings not see each other until after kids are in bed... (insert *sigh* here).

I am extremely close to Dustin. When I don't get that husband time, things in our family don't click. If we as husband and wife are not taking care of us, then how are we going to take care of our family? Role model for them??

I guess this big move is being proactive. One of my goals for the year was to make things more simple for us. By Dustin being home...
No more stress 4p-5pm when getting everyone ready to go to their activities... simple
Dinners are not as rushed...simple
Appointments can be made and not have to find daycare subs to cover/pay...simple
Younger kids can have more daddy time during the day... simple
Relaxed home work time...simple

One huge change has made a world of difference in our home. God has given us a chance to shake things up, live a little more out side the box, chance for us to enjoy what we do everyday, and most of all, be closer as a family.
