Today we stepped away from our bug/nature theme to learn about hand washing.
Such a simple thing, huh??? Nope! Germs are everywhere... and this was a great lesson to the kids.
Karla (from ERC) started out giving the kids "special lotion". The lotion allowed the kids to see the germs under a black light. It was really eye opening to see all the germs.
Karla also brought books to read to our group, "Germs are not for sharing" brought up some fun conversations.

Learning how long we really need to wash our hands... Yikes!
After they washed their hands we went back to the black light to see if all of the germs were gone!
What a fun time we hand!!!
