Today we put up new numbers, shape, colors, and topic cards on our learning board. Today we focused on "neighbors" and "neighborhoods". We made a chart that listed our neighbors... people that live close to us.
For art we made houses...
After our houses were completed, we put them together to make, "Our Classroom Community" on our bulletin board. Each home has a picture of the child when you open the door.
After art and circle time, we went on a walk around the neighborhood. We had lots to look at this morning. As soon as we stepped outside, we saw a man cutting down tree limbs.
We saw bright colored signs...
We saw trash cans, mailboxes, and different houses...
More signs...
Houses getting work done on them....
When we came back to our classroom, we made our own neighborhood and community.
Using our imagination and working together to build our community!
